Red Rising - Pierce Brown

This book is about a society that is classified in colours (hense the name red rising). Each colour has a purpose and a status in society. For example, the two main colours that are mentioned the most are the reds, who are basically slaves who work their entire lives thinking that their work is important and making a difference. The golds, who rule over all the other colours.

I am going to say that this book was well written and the story line was well thought up. I am into futuristic books, but this book was not really my kind of read. It was very graphic and violent. It has a lot of profane language. It started off really interesting. The main character had a huge loss that pushed him to infiltrate a higher race. But then the book seemed to drag on quite a bit. This book may be apealling to others but it was not for me.
